Invoicely is a free invoice generator that runs entirely in your browser. Fill in your business details, add the client, list your line items, and download a polished PDF invoice — no sign-up, no email, no watermark, and no software to install. Because the tool is 100% client-side, your client names, rates, and amounts never touch a server; the PDF is built on your own device with jsPDF and saved straight to your downloads.
How to make an invoice
- Fill in your business name, address, and (optionally) upload a logo.
- Add the client you're billing under “Bill to”.
- Set the invoice number, issue date, and due date.
- Add a line item for each piece of work — description, quantity, and rate.
- Set a tax rate if you charge one; the subtotal and total update instantly.
- Click “Download PDF” to save a clean, print-ready invoice to your device.
Why a client-side invoice generator?
Most “free” invoice makers ask you to create an account, then store your client list and pricing on their servers — and stamp a watermark on the PDF unless you upgrade. Invoicely works the opposite way. The whole tool is a single page of JavaScript: it builds the PDF on your own device with no upload, no account, and no watermark. If you'd rather start from a familiar layout, the Word-style invoice template and the Google Docs-style invoice template do the same job with framing you already know.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this invoice generator really free?
- Yes — Invoicely is completely free with no signup, no trial, and no watermark on the PDF. There's nothing to install and no limit on how many invoices you can make.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. There's no login, no email capture, and no paywall. Open the page, fill in the form, and download your invoice.
- Where does my data go?
- Nowhere. The invoice is built entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your business details, client info, and amounts are never sent to or stored on any server. Close the tab and it's gone.
- Can I add my own logo?
- Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG logo and it's embedded into both the live preview and the downloaded PDF. The image is read locally in your browser and never uploaded.
- What format is the invoice?
- A standard A4/Letter PDF that opens anywhere and prints cleanly. You can also use your browser's Print button to save or print directly.
- Can I add tax or VAT?
- Yes. Enter a tax percentage and Invoicely calculates the tax line and grand total automatically. Leave it at 0 if you don't charge tax.
